About these terms

These terms apply to your use of this website, which is operated by Christie’s International Real Estate Panama (“we”, “us”, “our”), an affiliate of the Christie’s International Real Estate network. Each office is independently owned and operated.

By using the website or creating an account, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

Using the website

You may use the website to look for property in Panama, to save listings and to contact us. When you use it, you agree not to:

  • break any law, or use the website for anything fraudulent or misleading;
  • copy, scrape or harvest listings, photographs or contact details by automated means, or republish them, without our written permission;
  • try to gain access to accounts, data or parts of the website that are not meant for you, or interfere with its security or performance;
  • send us false information, spam, or anything offensive, defamatory or harmful;
  • pretend to be someone else.

Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • Please give accurate details and keep them up to date. We use your name, email address and phone number to reply to you about properties.
  • Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens in your account, so tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people or the website at risk.
  • You can ask us to close your account at any time. Closing it deletes your saved properties, inquiries and tour requests.

Property information

We work hard to keep our listings accurate, but much of the information comes from sellers and other third parties and can change without notice. In particular:

  • Descriptions, prices, measurements, features, photographs and floor areas are for guidance only and are not guaranteed.
  • Prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise and do not include taxes, duties or closing costs.
  • Some maps show an approximate location to protect the owner’s privacy.
  • A property may be sold, let or withdrawn before the website is updated, and some sold properties remain visible for reference.

A listing is an invitation to enquire, not an offer that can be accepted. Any purchase, sale or rental is governed only by the written agreements signed by the parties. Please check every detail that matters to you, ideally with your own lawyer and surveyor, before relying on it.

Inquiries and viewing requests

  • Sending an inquiry or a tour request does not commit you, the seller or us to anything.
  • A tour request asks for a day and time. A viewing is only booked once we confirm it, and we may suggest another time if yours is not available.
  • You can cancel a pending or confirmed tour request from your account. We may also need to reschedule or cancel a viewing, for example if the property is no longer available or the owner asks us to. We will let you know if we do.
  • We aim to reply promptly, but we cannot guarantee a response time.

No professional advice

Information on this website, including our articles and guides, is general information about property and life in Panama. It is not legal, tax, financial, immigration or investment advice. Laws and market conditions change, and every situation is different, so please take independent professional advice before making a decision.

Our content

The website and its content — text, photographs, video, designs and logos — belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. The Christie’s International Real Estate name and marks belong to their owner and are used under licence.

You may view the website and share links to it for your own personal use. You may not copy, adapt or republish its content for any other purpose without our written permission.

What you send us

You are responsible for the messages, photos and other information you send us through the website, and you confirm that you have the right to share them. You allow us to use them to answer you, to arrange viewings and to run our service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Other services and websites

The website uses services provided by others, such as Google Maps and OpenStreetMap, and links to websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices, and your use of them is subject to their own terms.

Availability of the website

We provide the website “as is” and “as available”. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, and while we work to keep it secure and running, we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the website or from relying on the information on it, including loss of profit, opportunity or data, or any indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, or your rights as a consumer.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If you keep using the website after a change, the updated terms apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Panama, and the courts of Panama have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest remains in effect.
